Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share my new vlog with you. It’s something I’ve been into for quite some time and finally started playing with it yesterday. I was planning on just practicing all week and then debuting this weekend with our trip to Big Bear to play at the Arts Festival, but I was so inspired and stoked at how this first edit came out that I decided to launch a little early. Let me know what you Read More …
I’ve never been a morning person. In fact, I’ve always been an extreme night owl and had little-to-no morning routine. I feel that the height of my creativity happens after 9pm and I am most excited late at night. While this works really well for my musician life and could potentially be doable in my blogger life, it doesn’t necessarily work well for having a wife, a dog, friends, family, and a real life. While I’ve never been good at sleeping Read More …
The following 2 sentences are taken from my personal journal on March 2nd: It’s tough sometimes to be art director, production artist, author, copywriter, editor, and marketing guy. I find it difficult to make decisions, especially when trying to final-ok something. Man, is that true. When you’re working for yourself, you have no one to bounce ideas off of and no one to keep you in check. You have no real deadlines to meet because you created them. If you Read More …
Greetings beautiful people! I’m excited to get back to blogging now that I’ve officially launched Guitar Chord Kick-Start and plan to really dive head-first into it. As I mentioned in another post, I broke many promises to you and to myself in order to finish GCKS. Specifically, I promised you all back in February that I would be posting every day until I launched. My plan was to keep you updated on my progress and everything I was working on, Read More …

For freaking real this time! I’m launching tomorrow. Seriously! After missed deadlines, false starts, broken promises (to you and to myself), and a whole lot of coffee and Diet Red Bull, I am finally ready to pull the trigger and launch tomorrow. Expect a full write-up of my thoughts, feelings, and — undoubtedly — tangents tomorrow, but for now, just get excited for tomorrow at 10am Pacific. I repeat, I am launching tomorrow at 10am Pacific Time! Peek back here Read More …
Not sure why I chose the corniest of all titles today, but it just felt so right. So, I’ve decided that I’m going to get everything done for the book by March 8th. I won’t be launching that day because I’ll need a couple/few weeks to reach out to affiliates and polish up some back end stuff, but I want to have everything related to the product and website done by then. That means that, starting this morning, I’ve kicked Read More …
That title may be a little dramatic, but today was, indeed, a day full of technology blunders and a battle with hosting. The good news is, I think I’ve got it all squared away. The bad news? I didn’t get quite as many things finished up today as I planned. I did, however, get the main things I wanted to get done and a couple secondary tasks, to boot. And that, my friends, means progress. I think it’s the nature Read More …
I took a little weekend break from writing, but here’s a quick catch-up since my last note. Saturday was mainly a non-work day. My nephew’s birthday party was in the morning, so Meag and I went up to Orange County for that, met her mom for lunch, then sat in gnarly traffic trying to get home to San Diego. At night, we had a nice hang with one of our best friends (and now neighbor) Danielle. Boring for you reading Read More …
