Welcome!

I’m going to share with you something I wrote a little bit ago … probably a few months. I got sidetracked and started working on some other projects and got busy with gigs, but I’ve come back around to finally building this site. Welcome!

I wrote the following post with the intention of it being my first post on this new site. While it was composed a couple months ago, it all still holds true and I’d like to share it with you now, unedited and untouched since I wrote it.

Here we go:

So I’m sitting here daydreaming, as I’m wont to do, but not actually doing anything…

I’ve had an incredibly productive day. I’ve been working on my first affiliate site — SEO, fleshing out the pages, researching, researching, researching. I thought I deserved a little break before heading to rehearsal tonight, so I laid down for a nap. My mind was still going a mile a minute, thinking about what I want out of life, thinking about what I want out of my (eventual) business … just thinking.

I decided to get the hell up and do something. I’ve landed on this idea — I want to start a website where I’m completely transparent about everything I’m doing online. This is hugely inspired by Pat Flynn at the Smart Passive Income Blog and other entrepreneurs I follow. My site here will be seriously from the ground up … completely learning as I go and going in some different directions. I’m quite sure it’s going to start out rocky, but I hope I can learn from you just as I hope you can learn from me.

You see, I feel like over the years where I’ve dabbled in blogs/internet marketing/etc., I’ve been a little too private about it. I’m thinking now that, while maybe it felt like embarrassment or something, maybe it actually meant that I didn’t fully believe in what I was doing. I’m starting this site to hold myself accountable, to have you readers hold me accountable, and to try to be an open book about my goings on. I have a feeling … in fact, I know there are people out there like me who have tried and failed, or just tried and given up. I hope this new site keeps me going and keeps you going, too.

Let’s be friends. Let’s engage. Let’s learn from each other. Let’s do all the stuff that, if you’re like me, you’ve wanted to do for a long time but just never got right or didn’t stick to it.

So, there you have it. The first post to my new website, PJBovee.com. Check out more about me and this site in the “About” section (or click here or here). Also, be a pal — share with your friends, sign up for updates, click through some links, and tell me what you think in the comments section. This is a work-in-progress, so I’ll be adding more and more over the coming weeks, so keep checking back.

I look forward to sharing with you!
